The Friends of the Lee County Libraries Group is a nonprofit organization made up of community members dedicated to supporting the Lee County Libraries. They are a major factor in the library’s progress, advocating for funding and volunteering their time to assist with fundraising efforts that include an annual used book sale held every spring. They manage the Main Library’s Ongoing Book Sale year-round, sponsor Summer Reading programs & special events including the annual LCL POP!-con. In the last six years, the Friends have provided the Main Library with a new circulation & children’s desk, and LCL staff with a new refrigerator & microwave, quarterly birthday celebrations, yearly appreciation gifts, and so much more!

Please visit library.leecountync.gov/friends to learn more about the Friends’ Ongoing Book Sale at Lee County Libraries, and to find out how to become a member of the Friends. Individuals can join the Friends Group with a yearly membership and can also sign up to volunteer.
